Adams Morgan, Mount Pleasant, Park View and Petworth, this vibrant area has become a destination for shopping, dining and nightlife. Once a depressed section of the city, Columbia Heights was given a new lease on life with the opening of the Columbia Heights Metro Station in 1999. Since that time a resurgence of new businesses, including the opening of DC USA in March of 2008, and housing developments has taken place.
